Victor Valley College Persona Book
The Objective
Victor Valley Community College would like to better understand their student body and how to communicate with them. Elder Tree design agency has been tasked with surveying a portion of the student population to determine 6 to 8 different persona groups. These personas must be developed and made into a book detailing who they are and what messaging to use for each.
The Solution
After identifying 8 groups in the survey answers, detailed personas were written to represent the different populations. Since Victor Valley is a county located in the Central California desert, the booklet reflects their surroundings. The design is mature and readable in order to be accessible to older members of the administrative office, who will be using this material.

Macro desert shots and desert landscape are brought together through modern color blocking and layering. Specific imagery of desert roads also elude to adventure and progress while maintaining the familiarity of the Victor Valley environment.

The color pallet uses a range of Victor Valley Community College’s deep red and olive gold, pairing it with rusts and deeper greens and create an earthy pallet directly tied to the school.

Type choices were kept simple to maximize the readability of the Persona Book and allow for more exploration in color and imagery. The two typefaces Soleil and Proxima Nova achieve this goal.
